Italy, Facebook and I'm an actor darling.

This week we are joined once again by our good buddy Ashok, but this time no outsourcing is involved.

We are exposed to Greg's passionate fascination with 70's porn music, or at least that from "Debbie does Dallas".
It's best not to ask (but there's some Swiss Yodeling music and Classical Italian stuff in this podcast too).

Where/When will you EVER see these three pictures together like this?

Simon quickly runs through the rest of his recent trip to Switzerland and Northern Italy of Lake Como and Milan. Few mountain tops were seen, especially in Switzerland because of the low cloud base. (Some of the remote valley villages aren't quite what you'd expect of Switzerland, but are gorgeous all the same).

It did result in some dramatic views in Italy though, especially when the numerous thunderstorms rolled in.

However, when it was clear, there were some iconic Italian Lakes views to be taken in. It really is a breathtaking area. (There's something about mountains and lakes when they're combined!)

(One place we visited in particular, and probably every geek's first choice, has to be this, the Villa del Balbianello, where the wedding scene from Star Wars Episode 2 was filmed (and where James Bond recovered in Casino Royale.)

After finally reviewing the last bits of the trip it was back to regular stuff.

Meanwhile, Greg and Ashok were sniffed a great deal by Bae Jiao, for reasons best known only to her.

We contemplate the intricacies of Facebook, and how it's changed things, at least socially.

We've had a few WW2 warbirds fly over recently, and they are part of the Collings Foundation who are visiting Moffett airfield this week. This is a great foundation who are doing what they can to keep airworthy some US aircraft from WW2 and make sure we remember these wonderful machines. You can climb on board a B17, a B24 or have a look at a P-51. If you're feeling particularly flush, you can go up for a flight in one too. Amazing. Take a look at their web site and check out their schedule for the summer.

We give a shout out to our friend Wendy's LA based food blog, http://losangelesfoodreview.blogspot.com.

And since we've talk about Hawaii a little, we mention about the upcoming remake of Hawaii Five-O.

We adjourn outside for some stogies and beer, and we find out a little bit about the recent filming Ashok and Greg got to do with our buddy Akbar Kurtha.

Then things get a little strange and we end up on the subject of what is money, the gold standard, the Knights Templars and other weird stuff. Too many beers probably!

All in all, a fun podcast. Normal service will be resumed shortly.

Oh, and isn't Wikipedia wonderful!

Peace.

KMSMA.
